Bethlehem has launched Switch Together to help households become more informed about their solar and/or battery storage options and to save on high-quality solar installations and/or home battery storage, if homeowners decide they want to move forward and talk to a contractor.

The Switch Together program, offered in partnership with Solar United Neighbors, helps homeowners and small businesses secure a quality rooftop solar installation at a discounted price through the power of group buying. The program also offers discounted prices for optional add-ons such as home battery storage, and electric vehicle chargers.

How does Switch Together work?
Switch Together organizes groups of residents who are interested in going solar, together. By organizing a group purchase for rooftop solar and optional battery storage systems, Switch Together can get a better deal for each household participating in the group.

1. Registration: Sign up online today. It’s free to join. There’s no obligation to make a purchase.

2. Installer Selection/Award: Pre-vetted installers participate in an auction. The best bid(s) for our program participants win.

3. Personal recommendation: You'll get a personal installation proposal based on your registration details.

4. Make Your Decision: Once you get the offer, you can decide if you want to accept and proceed with a consultation with your assigned installer. If you choose to accept, you will be asked to pay a program reservation fee in order to proceed and be connected with your program-assigned contractor.

5. Installation: If you accept your recommendation, your installer will contact you to schedule your consultation meeting and discuss any specific considerations for your potential project. A site survey will verify your roof's suitability, if needed, and households are then presented with a final design and contract from their installer.
