Public Health Emergency Preparedness

Services

The Public Health Preparedness Division of the Bethlehem Health Bureau is committed to improving the public’s health by advancing the City of Bethlehem’s response to health-related emergencies through the development and implementation of preparedness plans, surveillance, disease management, and enhanced communications. In addition, we actively educate the public on how to prepare themselves for a variety of disasters and emergencies that commonly occur in our area.

A message from Robert Novatnack, our Emergency Manager

“The goal of Emergency Management through preparedness is to lessen the impact of disasters, to ready our community by being prepared for all disasters and to follow a coordinated plan that quickly mitigates disasters and improves and community recovery. Simply stated, Emergency Management is about “BEING PREPARED.””
