NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
This position operates motorized equipment and performs semi-skilled manual tasks in the maintenance of water and sewer lines and supporting facilities.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks to construct, maintain and operate water and sewer lines, reservoirs, pump stations and all other related facilities. Utilizes all types of water and sewer maintenance filed equipment to perform tasks (includes various motor vehicles such as trucks, sewer rodding machine, flusher, and similar maintenance or construction equipment). Repairs/maintains mechanical and pumping equipment. Repairs pavements, manholes, culverts, and all other concrete/brick structures.

NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
This position is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the City's commercial and residential recycling programs in accordance with Federal, State, and City laws and policies. This position reports directly to the Director of Recycling.
 
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Investigates complaints of unsanitary recycling conditions throughout the City of Bethlehem including photographing all complaint areas; investigates violations of recycling laws; performs commercial recycling waste audits; makes recommendations regarding enforcement of recycling laws where applicable; assists in monitoring residential recycling contract; keeps detailed records and provides statistical and historical reports; reports any/all noticeable violations within City limits to appropriate City Department; and works in cooperation with other city Departments and Bureaus to provide support for programmatic implementation and monitoring.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Geographic Information Systems and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) in an ESRI solution environment.  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Microsoft Sequel Server (MS SQL), Virtual Environments (VMware), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) technologies, and project management is required.  Hands-on experience with cartographic principals and GIS analysis required.  Minimum of one years’ experience with cross platform native app development in App Studio, Web development in HTML and Kentico/CMS, network administration and other computer programming preferred.  Master’s degree in Geography/GIS/Computer Science or related fields preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.

NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
Administers all projects involving the development, training, collection, utilization, maintenance and management of Geo-spatial data and the enterprise GIS for the City.  Responsible for the technology transfer of Geo-spatial data to non-GIS staff and ensures GIS technology is used properly and efficiently across all City departments.  Responsible for GIS analysis and management of outside contractors of GIS applications and Geo-spatial data development.  Responsible for security and quality control of GIS data produced by.  Reports to the IS Manager.

Specific computer skills in ArcGIS in a windows-based environment including but not limited to: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online apps: ArcGIS HUB, Survey 123, StoryMaps, Insights and ArcGIS Developer, scripting in Arcade, Python and Java Script.   Microsoft SQL, Applications and MS office suite are required.  Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite Applications is highly desired.  A highly motivated, detail oriented individual with prioritization skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem solving abilities is preferred.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a high school graduate or possess equivalency certificate.  Technical school training past high school in water chemistry, bacteriology, hydraulics, mechanics, electrical/electronics, treatment plant protocol is expected.  Must have at least six (6) months hands on experience in wet chemistry laboratory analyses, extensive mechanical, plumbing, and electrical/electronics maintenance ability and some water distribution experience.  Valid driver’s license with possession of a CDL Class B with proper air brake endorsements is required.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
This position is an Operator III if applicant possesses PA DEP Wastewater System Operator Certification with the following sub classifications: 1 (Activated Sludge) and 2 (Fixed Film Treatment).  Applicants not in possession of PA DEP Wastewater System Operator Certification and required sub classifications shall be an Acting Operator III and required to take the PA DEP Wastewater System Operator Certification exams on an annual basis and must obtain a passing score on the Certifications Exams within a 3 year period from date of hire and must obtain a Class “A”, sub classification 1 and 2 certification within a four year period from date of hire.  Once Operator Certification is obtained it must be maintained.  Must pass a criminal background investigation and pre-employment physical.
 
NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate and manage the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant.  Reports directly to Operations Supervisor.
 
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
