NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining order at the pool facility by preventing accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules and regulations governing the conduct of patrons.  Responsible for monitoring pool facilities for potential hazards or unsafe conditions, providing first aid to patrons, and custodial duties in maintaining the pool facilities.

Plans, schedules, and supervises the mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance work of the plant to make effective use of employees, equipment and materials, within an approved budget and quality standards; maintains records and prepares reports; reviews the operating needs of the plant and develops maintenance procedures and programs; makes personal observations to analyze plant and equipment conditions and recommends corrective measures when needed; assigns employees to jobs, instructs them in proper and safe performance of work, and familiarizes them with rules and regulations and enforces same; directs training of maintenance personnel on equipment and procedures; prepares parts list and orders recommended spare parts to minimize downtime for all plant maintenance and housekeeping; assists in the preparation of reports and budget, reviews maintenance records and data, and develops recommendations.
