City Hall will remain closed to the public until further notice. However, City Hall is operational and employees are available to assist residents via phone, email and website.

Community & Economic Development

  • The City of Bethlehem's Department of Community and Economic Development operates various bureaus that impact the City’s quality of life and building conditions. Those bureaus are: Code Enforcement, Community Development, Planning and Zoning, Recycling and Housing Inspections.

    In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all planning applications, zoning hearing board appeals and Certificates of Appropriateness/Historic Board applications are strongly encouraged to submit the waiver below of timeliness for review to protect the applicant, the Board Members, City officials and members of the public from the risk of COVID-19 exposure.

    SMALL BUSINESS EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND
    The Small Business Emergency Relief Fund has been created to assist city businesses impacted by COVID 19 in maintaining their business and retaining jobs. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding will be used to award 150 one-time grant awards of $2,000.  Awarded funds can be used for operational costs inclusive of rental assistance, payroll assistance, and utilities to allow businesses to ensure that their limited resources are sufficient to maintain their business and workforce.
