Daily Report

The daily report consists of a list of offense reports and arrest information from reports which were approved within the last 48 hours. No arrest data concerning juveniles is included. The charts and graphs regarding call volume and times are from reports which were completed in the past seven days. The most current Public Daily Report can be located here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ItFmvVDgBwWxHba2D8ReTcZvmmFNQdCx?usp=sharing.

The City of Bethlehem PD utilizes NIBRS offense definitions, which can be found here: https://ucr.fbi.gov/nibrs/2012/resources/nibrs-offense-definitions. A status of “O - Open” means either a suspect has not been identified or a suspect has been identified and the offense is still under investigation. A status of “CA - Cleared Arrest” means an individual(s) was arrested for this offense or an arrest warrant has been issued. A status of “CE - Cleared by Exception” means a suspect has been identified but the case was cleared by other means (examples: juvenile diversionary program, victim did not wish to prosecute, death of offender). A Status of “U - Unfounded” means a crime was reported but, as the result of the investigation, it was determined a crime did not actually take place.

All individuals listed as arrested are presumed innocent unless found guilty in a court of law. More information on all arrests can be located through the Pennsylvania UJS Portal located here: https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/CaseSearch. For information related to the elements (definition) of a charge code, see the PA General Assembly’s Consolidated Statutes site located here: https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/Public/cons_index.cfm. Most crimes are under title 18 and most vehicle related crime is under title 75. Drug crimes are under title 35.
