The City of Bethlehem EMS Bike Team works well for outdoor festivals and athletic events where ambulances would have difficulty gaining access to sick or injured. The City of Bethlehem Bike Team members are:
- Certified by The International Police and Medic Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA).
- Equipped to handle any medical or traumatic emergency until an ambulance arrives.
- Carry advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) medications and equipment including an AED (Automatic External Defibulator).
- Staffed with 2 paramedics
