Northside 2027

The Northside 2027 neighborhood reaches from Mauch Chunk Road on the west to Maple Street on the east; Broad Street to the south and Laurel Street on the north.

This area was designated a LERTA (Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance) in 2017 by the City of Bethlehem, Northampton County and the Bethlehem Area School District.
This charming neighborhood contains a wide variety of housing, including single family homes, apartments and row homes.  William Penn Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School and Liberty High School bound the area along with Moravian College.  Recreational assets include the Monocacy Trail and community parks.  Broad Street and Linden Street are the two major commercial corridors in the area, offering some of Bethlehem's best dining.  This area is family friendly, walk-able to our historic downtown and is a perfect place to work, live and play in Bethlehem.
In the fall of 2018, the city undertook a neighborhood planning study to examine the housing stock, commercial corridors and social service capacity of the area.
