Bethlehem Police Junior Police Academy
The Bethlehem Police Department’s Junior Police Academy is a two week program designed to show Bethlehem Area School District Middle School Students what it is like to be a Police Officer. The program was developed and is run by Bethlehem Police Department School Resources Officers. The JPA is a mix of class room instruction, demonstrations, and hands on experiences that mirrors an actual Police Academy including physical training (PT). JPA Cadets participate in defensive tactics training, visit County Court, see demonstrations from the Police K9 and Mounted Unit, just to name a few. If your BASD Middle School Student is interested in participating, have them contact their Middle School SRO.
