Project Lifesaver

Project Lifesaver is the premier search and rescue program operated by the Bethlehem Police Department and the Bethlehem Health Bureau. It is strategically designed for “at risk” individuals who are prone to the life threatening behavior of wandering. The primary mission is to provide a timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children with the propensity to wander due to a cognitive condition.

Participants in the Project Lifesaver program wear a special wrist bracelet equipped with a small transmitter which emits a radio signal that law enforcement can track when someone goes missing.

For more information please contact the Bethlehem Health Bureau at 610-865-7083.
