What is a csa ?

A CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is made up of two entities: the community and the farmer. The consumer purchases a "share" or a membership at the beginning of growing season. The share consists of a bag of fresh seasonal produce which is picked up each week at the farm stand. 

When?

Date: July 11, 2023 - October 31, 2023
Time: 4:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m every Tuesday for 17 weeks 

Where is the CSA located? 

The CSA will be held at the farm stand on Payrow Plaza at Bethlehem City Hall/Library

who started the CSA? 

Bechdolt Orchard, with the help of the Bethlehem Health Bureau, started the CSA in 2016 to increase health and wellness in the community. The CSA was also started to make locally grown produce more accessible to the City of Bethlehem. 

CSA 2023 Information:

Whole Share: 8-9 different fruits and vegetables $30/week

Half Share: 5-6 different fruits and vegetables  $20/week

The BASD Childcare Department, in conjunction with the Bethlehem Health Bureau and local farmers and growers, are proud and excited to bring to our community…VEGGIE SALES FUNDRAISER!! This program gives families the opportunity to have local, fresh produce right at their fingertips. From July through October, locally grown items from Bechdolt's Orchards (listed below – the items change each month based on what is in season!) are available through this awesome program. (See Purchase Options below).

Summer Meals Program 2021

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides free meals for
children in Bethlehem ages 18 and under during the summer.

Free breakfast and lunch meals will be available for pick up Mondays
(meals for 3 days) and Thursdays (meals for 4 days) at the following
locations from June 21 to August 19, excluding July 5:


● Broughal: 114 W Morton Street: 10:00am-12:30pm
● Marvine: 1425 Livingston Street: 10:00am-1:00pm
● Lincoln: 1260 Gresham Street: 10:00am-11:30am
● Moravian Village: 561 East Market Street: 10:00am-11:30am
● Bethlehem Public Library (South Side): 400 West Webster Street: 10:00am-11:30am
