Park Programs

The City of Bethlehem  has over 30 parks, including linear parks, such as the Southside Greenway, parks with water features such as Monocacy Park and many pocket parks in our neighborhoods. We offer many free park programs for City of Bethlehem residents to meet the needs of all age groups. Check out below what we have to offer and visit one of our parks today! 

 
Park rules
  • 1.  PARK HOURS: DAWN TO DUSK
  • 2. DOGS AND OTHER DOMESTIC ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED AND UNDER THE OWNER’S CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. OWNERS SHALL PICK UP AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF ALL ANIMAL WASTE
  • 3. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES EXCEPT IN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED AREAS
  • 4. NO FIRES OR FIREWORKS EXCEPT IN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNAGED AREAS
  • 5. AMPLIFICATION SOUND SYSTEMS, PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS, & AMPLIFIED
  •  MUSIC ARE PROHIBITED EXCEPT WHERE AUTHORIZED BY PERMIT
  • 6. NO LOITERING
  • 7. NO VENDING OR PEDDLING WITHOUT AUTHORIZED BY PERMIT
  • 8. MOTORIZED VEHICLES PERMITTED ONLY ON PAVED ROADS OR IN DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS

Summer Youth park progRam
The City of Bethlehem Recreation Bureau invites City youth to participate in our FREE summer park program located in select parks in various geographic locations throughout the City. Games, arts and crafts, and special presentations by community businesses and organizations will be some of the activities offered in the program.  CHILDREN 8 AND UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY SOMEONE 14 OR OLDER FROM THEIR HOUSEHOLD TO PARTICIPATE. The program is FREE to City of Bethlehem residents. Sign ups are not required, but all participants must complete a registration form which will be kept on file for the summer.  Stay tuned for our 2026 programming schedule.
Movies in the Park
  • Our Movies in the Park program will be held again this summer at select City parks. The movies start at dusk and are FREE of charge to City of Bethlehem residents. Come out and enjoy a movie and some popcorn with your family under the stars. Stay tuned for our 2026 programming schedule.
MUSIC in the Park  
The City of Bethlehem’s Music in the Park concert series at select Bethlehem parks will our  feature music from various genres. Click here for our Summer 2025 programming.
sport Clinics
The City of Bethlehem Recreation Bureau offers FREE sport clinics for residents of all all ages at select locations. The programs offer introductory lessons to various sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, pickleball, tennis, Pickleball, etc.) are open to all City of Bethlehem residents. Bernie Fritz Night  
  • Our annual Bernie Fritz Night  celebration honoring the late playground leader, teacher, and coach who devoted his life to Bethlehem youth is held yearly on a Wednesday in July. The event, with participation from many community groups, has music, games, dancing, arts and crafts, and more.  Stay tuned for information on our 2026 event.
