Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the United States. Over 380,000 out-of-hospital SCAs occur annually across the nation. In an effort to increase the survival rate for Sudden Cardiac Arrest, our goal is to train as many people as possible.
American Heart Association Certified CPR instructors with the City of Bethlehem EMS offer Hands Only CPR course to the general public. Hands Only CPR is taught in only 1 hour and covers compression-only CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use, and what to do when someone is choking. This course is for the general public and does not require any medical background or knowledge on the part of participants, and the skills learned can save the life of a friend or loved one whose heart suddenly stops beating. THIS IS NOT A CERTIFICATE COURSE!
