Methods of payment
The City of Bethlehem accepts Credit Card Payments, Checks, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks and Cash. Not all payment types are accepted at all locations. Installment Payments can NOT be made through My Account/On-line
- Credit Card payments are accepted on-line and at the Finance Services Counter. Credit Card payments are subject to a convenience fee for processing of the credit card transaction. The convenience fees are slightly different on-line and at the Financial Services counter due to use of different credit card processing companies.
Convenience Fees through the on-line system are a flat fee of $3.50 per transaction up to a maximum of $300.00. For transactions greater than $300.00, the fee is 2.75% of the transaction amount. Convenience Fees for Credit Card transactions at the Financial Services Counter are 2.65% of the transaction amount with a minimum of $3.00. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted on-line. American Express is NOT accepted at the Financial Services Counter. There is a maximum limit of $25,000.00 per credit card transaction. Individual credit accounts may have additional limitations per credit transaction.
- Check, Money Orders and Cashier's Checks are accepted by Mail, at Financial Services or the 24 Hour Drop Box. All types of checks are to be made payable to the City of Bethlehem. All types of checks should be returned with the bottom portion of the tax bill in the supplied return envelope.
