PUBLIC HEARING

Prior to the consideration of the regular Agenda items, City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to consider revisions to the 2007 and 2009 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs, and the 2009 Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs. The purpose for these revisions is to reprogram funds from prior year programs, revise specific project budgets, and create a new activity.

The 2007 CDBG budget will be amended as follows: decrease Elm Street Admin. by $12,347, from $12,997 to $650. The 2009 CDBG Budget will be amended as follows: decrease Carlton Avenue Reconstruction by $280,000, from $280,000 to $0; increase Elm Street – Streetscape Improvements by $112,724, from $20,000 to $132,724; increase Community Development Consulting by $15,000, from $30,000 to $45,000; establish new activity, Mountain Drive Reconstruction, in the amount of $180,000; establish a new activity, Perry Street Reconstruction, in the amount of $100,000; establish a new activity, Historic Resources Study, in the amount of $30,000; and establish a new activity, Dental Program, in the amount of $5,000. These revisions effectively increase the FY 2009 CDBG Program budget from $2,213,635 to $2,376,359.

The HOME program will be amended as follows: increase Housing Rehabilitation by $66,500, from $160,100 to $226,660; and establish a new activity, 532 Broadway, in the amount of $40,000. These revisions effectively increase the FY 2009 budget from $560,100 to $666,660.
