The City of Bethlehem is actively working with government agencies, hospitals, schools, and businesses to prepare for and respond to the coronavirus pandemic. Please refer to the Bethlehem Health Bureau’s coronavirus page for the most current information, best practices, and resources.

Based on Governor Wolf’s “Stay at Home” order issued for Northampton and Lehigh Counties, Bethlehem City Hall will be closed to the public effective 4:30 pm today, Wednesday, March 25, 2020 until further notice.
 
City Hall will remain operational but closed to the public. City employees will be available to assist residents via phone, email and website.

Bethlehem residents concerned with businesses operating in violation of the shutdown, are requested to call the Bethlehem Service Center at 610-865-7000. Do not call 911 for this issue.

The City of Bethlehem  has over 30 parks, including linear parks, such as the Southside Greenway, parks with water features such as Monocacy Park and many pocket parks in our neighborhoods. We host free summer park programs  and "Movies in the Park" during the summer months. Visit one of our parks today!

  • 2. DOGS AND OTHER DOMESTIC ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED AND UNDER THE OWNER’S CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. OWNERS SHALL PICK UP AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF ALL ANIMAL WASTE
  • 3. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES EXCEPT IN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED AREAS
  • 4. NO FIRES OR FIREWORKS EXCEPT IN SPECIFICALLY DESIGNAGED AREAS
  • 5. AMPLIFICATION SOUND SYSTEMS, PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS, & AMPLIFIED
  •  MUSIC ARE PROHIBITED EXCEPT WHERE AUTHORIZED BY PERMIT
  • 6. NO LOITERING
  • 7. NO VENDING OR PEDDLING
  • 8. MOTORIZED VEHICLES PERMITTED ONLY ON PAVED ROADS OR IN DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS

Free Summer playground progams
  • Free summer programs for City residents will begin on Monday, June 15th and end Friday, July 31st for children of all ages. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or older child (at least 12 years of age). 

    Activities: games, arts & craft, sports, swimming, movies etc.

  • Clearview, Elmwood, Higby, L.G. Stewart, and Yosko Parks
    Monday - Thursday, 10 am-1 pm and Friday* 10 am - 3 pm

    Bernie Fritz Park
    Monday - Thursday*, 5:30 pm- 8 pm 

    *SWIM DAY @ ONE OF OUR  POOLS FOR REGULAR REGISTERED ATTENDEES, IF WEATHER PERMITS
Movies in the Park
  • Our "Movies in the Park" program continues this summer at select City parks. The movies start at dusk and are FREE of charge to City residents. Come out and enjoy a movie and some popcorn with your family under the stars. Stay tuned for movie titles and locations.
Bernie Fritz Night  
  • Come join us on Wednesday, July 22nd from 6-8:30pm for our 25th Annual Bernie Fritz Night  celebration honoring the late playground leader, teacher, and coach who devoted his life to Bethlehem youth. We will have games, dancing, face painting, arts and crafts, and raffle prizes. The night will end with a movie (TBA) at the park. Mark your calendars now! Hope to see you there!
