COVID-19 update (3/12/2020)

As of 8:45 a.m. today, there is one presumptive case of Coronavirus [COVID – 19] reported in Northampton County.  The City of Bethlehem currently has no active cases of COVID-19.  Currently, we are in communication with organizations to re-evaluate upcoming events in the City of Bethlehem.  As a preventive measure, the Cultural Alliance decided to cancel the St. Patrick’s Day parade scheduled for March 14, 2020.
The City of Bethlehem Health Bureau and City Emergency Management are continuing to monitor the situation, in addition to working with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, local health care networks, schools, colleges and Emergency Management Agencies in both Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
We are encouraging residents to visit credible sites, such as the CDC (www.cdc.gov) and Pennsylvania Department of Health (www.health.pa.gov) during this time.  Both of these agencies are providing up to date information as this situation unfolds.  In addition, the City of Bethlehem Health Bureau will continue to disseminate information and updates through the City of Bethlehem website (www.bethlehem-pa.gov/health-bureau) and Facebook @ Bethlehem Health.
