Where is Bethlehem Skateplaza?

The Bethlehem Skateplaza will be located on the South Bethlehem Greenway, a rails-to-trails project that is going to transform approximately 3 miles of an old railroad bed into a recreational and pedestrian open space area. The Skateplaza itself will be located directly across the street from the Sands Casino Resort Complex - Bethlehem. An estimated five million tourists a year will drive by the Bethlehem Skateplaza to enter the Sands Casino Resort Complex!

Does it cost anything?

The skatepark is a public park and is free.

Is it a skatepark or skateplaza?

The Bethlehem Skateplaza will replicate streetscape obstacles such as handrails, benches, staircases, and sculptures. A Plaza will provide greater diversity than traditional skateparks. For non-riders, the plaza will function as a passive space.

How big will the plaza be?

The plaza will be 750 feet long and cover about an acre of land. The Bethlehem Skateplaza will be integrated into the South Bethlehem Greenway.

Are bikes allowed?

Yes, the Plaza is designed in a way to allow skateboarders, BMXers, and In-line skating
