Take Me Home is a voluntary, free program offered by the City of Bethlehem Police Department that allows for the safe return home of those who may not be able to communicate vital information to law enforcement officers or first responders.
A family member of caretaker can simply complete the Take Me Home enrollment form and submit the form along with a photo of the individual who may need special assistance if they are alone or in an emergency situation. The form and photo should be e-mailed to Officer Shirk at firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to:
City of Bethlehem
Attn: Officer Shirk
10 E Church Street
Bethlehem, PA 18018
The information that you provide will be placed in a database that can be accessed in police cruisers or back at the station. If an officer finds someone who cannot communicate where he or she lives, they can simply search the database. The system also works in reverse so if a loved one goes missing, their picture and description is immediately available.
If you have any questions about the Take Me Home program, please contact Officer Shirk at 610-865-7222.
