Operation A.c.T.! (Arrest Car
Thieves)
Operation A.C.T.! is an auto decal registration program with
the Bethlehem Police Department. Bethlehem residents electing
to enroll in the program will receive a decal which will be
placed in the lower left corner of the back windshield of
their vehicle. By participating in the program, you certify
to the Police Department that your vehicle is not normally
operated between the hours of 1 AM and 5 AM.
Having the decal affixed to your automobile indicates to
the police that the vehicle shouldn`t be operated by anyone
between these times. So, if the police observe someone operating
your vehicle. during these hours, they will know to suspect
someone is in possession of your vehicle without authorization.
Police observing such an incident will make an investigative
stop of the vehicle.

Special Considerations

to a police investigative stop. On these occasions, police
action will include necessary precautions generally taken
to protect the officers when approaching a potentially stolen
vehicle.
