VACANCY OF CITY CONTROLLER
Bethlehem City Council
is accepting letters of interest and resumes from
qualified individuals to fill the vacancy of City
Controller of the City of Bethlehem, as a result of
the resignation on January 31, 2012 of Meg Holland,
City Controller. Individuals can state their interest
in filling the vacancy, to serve beginning on or before
March 2, 2012 until January 6, 2014, by submitting
a letter, along with a resume, to the City Clerk's
Office, 10 East Church Street, Room B212, Bethlehem
PA 18018 by 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
The Pennsylvania Third Class City Code, Section 1701,
states the Qualifications of City Controller as follows:
The City Controller shall be a competent accountant,
at least twenty-one years of age, shall have been
a resident of the City for at least one year next
before his election, and shall reside in the City
throughout his term of office.
This is a NON-EMERGENCY announcement
for City of Bethlehem’s drinking water customers.
Beginning on
January 6th, 2012 and continuing through the next
four weeks, the City of Bethlehem will suspend adding
fluoride to your drinking water. The temporary suspension
is due to the replacement of a fluoride tank. Fluoride
is routinely added to the drinking water at a rate
of 0.7 mg/L. Again, this is not an emergency. The
temporary suspension will not change the quality of
your drinking water.
If you have any questions,
please call Water Control at 610-865-7077.
