Are you a smoker?

The Bethlehem Health Bureau offers one-on-one smoking cessation counseling utilizing the highly effective Quit Smart Program. If you live in Northampton County, call to see if you qualify for this free program: Contact Kristen Wenrich or Claudia Richan at 610-865-7087.

Detailed Information

The Quit Smart program consists of:

  • 3 one-on-one hour long counseling sessions
  • Sessions are weekly
  • Client and counselor work together to set up a quit date
  • Use of a wean off nicotine approach
  • Use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Other Resources

Pennsylvania’s Free Quitline, 1-800-QUIT NOW (1-800-784-8669) is offered as a partnership between the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the American Cancer Society. Based on state-of-the-art techniques in smoking cessation, the service provides counseling and structured assistance for individuals who are committed to quitting. The Quitline can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Latino’s for Healthy Communities is offered for Spanish speaking clientele. Call 610-758-8011.

St. Lukes Tobacco Treatment Center is a local hospital based cessation program. Call 610-954-2301.
