Dr. Basil Dolphin
Medical Director
Bethlehem Health Bureau
Dr. Dolphin graduated from Jefferson Medical
School in Philadelphia and completed a residency in public
health and general preventive medicine at SUNY Stony Brook,
Stony Brook NY. He is board certified in Public Health/General
Preventive Medicine and Occupation Medicine, and currently
the Medical Director for the City of Bethlehem Health Bureau,
as well as Medical Director for HealthWorks for Lehigh Valley
Hospital Network.
His current responsibilities for the Bethlehem
Board of Health are to provide consultation and direction
for medical issues that the department faces. Dr. Dolphin
oversees testing and treatment for various infectious diseases,
develops policy and standing orders, is director of the
laboratory and acts as a medical resource.
He has enjoyed his time working with the Bethlehem
Health Bureau and looks forward to promoting the health
of residents of the City of Bethlehem.
