The partnership between Bethelehm and Murska Sobota, Slovenia is the outcome of many years of relationship due to the Slovenian-Americans in Bethlehem. Many of the Slovenians in Bethlehem have ancestors who came from Slovenia's Murska Sobota Prekmurje (Prake-MOOR-ya), and have relatives and friends still living in Europe
