907.01 RULES AND REGULATIONS.
The Director of Public Works is authorized to promulgate reasonable
rules and regulations with respect to the setting, placing, resetting,
replacing and removing of poles and guy wires used for stretching
wires and cables for telegraph, telephone, electric light, power
and railway purposes, in, along and upon the streets of the City;
upon application therefor, to issue permits for the setting, placing,
resetting, replacing and removal of such poles upon the payment
by the applicant to the City of a fee per pole; and to prescribe
in such permit the place where and the manner in which such poles
may be set, placed, reset or replaced, and in case of the removal
of poles, the manner in which the same may be effected. No such
poles shall be hereafter set, placed, reset, replaced or removed
without a permit from the Director. (Ord. 3024 §3. Passed 10/15/85.)

907.02 REPLACING SIDEWALK.
Whenever a permit shall be issued to reset, replace or remove any
such poles or guy wires, the person to whom such permit shall have
been granted shall replace the sidewalk, curb and gutter in a proper
and safe condition. In no event shall such person be allowed to
cut down any poles without removing such portion of the same as
may have been placed below the surface of the ground. (Ord. 3024

907.03 CUTTING OR DEFACING TREES.
No person shall cut, break or otherwise deface any tree in, along
or upon any street in connection with the setting, placing, resetting,
replacing or removing of any poles as hereinbefore provided, without
having first obtained permission in writing from the Director of
Public Works. (1946 Code C. 23 §3.)
907.99 PENALTY.
Any person who violates any provision of this Article shall be
subject to the following penalties:
(a) First violation - A fine of $200.00, or thirty days imprisonment,
or both;
(b) Second violation - A fine of $500.00, or sixty days imprisonment,
or both;
(c) Third and each subsequent violation - A fine of $1,000.00,
or ninety days imprisonment, or both. (Ord. 3038. Passed 10/22/85;
